Chicken and Sour Cream Biscuits
Sour Cream Biscuit Ingredients:
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sour cream
Combine dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening.
Stir in sour cream until smooth.
Turn onto floured surface and knead 10x
Roll out 1 inch thick and use circle cutter or cup to cut out biscuits. Or drop into mounds on greased baking sheet.
Bake at 450* for 10-12 minutes
Creamy Chicken Topping Ingredients:
1-1 1/2lbs cooked shredded chicken
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
1 clove fresh pressed garlic
2 cups milk
Salt, pepper, and parsley to taste
In medium sauce pan, melt butter and quickly saute garlic.
Whisk in flour until smooth.
Add milk constantly stirring until simmering and smooth.
Add shredded chicken and continue to simmer until thickened. Season to taste.
Serve over warm sour cream biscuits! YUM!
